CAR WARS - At the Waco "Stars Arena"

Ruleset: Car Wars by Steve Jackson Games.

We had four duelists battle it out at the" Stars Arena" in Waco. After the duel we got in a race event also.

The "Stars Arena" soon closed after its opening due to financial issues. It recently had been purchased and re-opened, but still lacks the funds of more popular arenas. Wrecks and debris between events are rarely removed from the arena so as the events go by in a day the arena floor gets more dangerous and difficult to move around.

The arena also holds racing events. Close to each entryway there is a raised area (treat as hitting a sidewalk and going off a sidewalk) with a concrete star in the center. Duelist can fire over the star, but cannot drive over it. The duelist after entering the arena must decide which way to go then complete a lap by hitting all the star circles in their loop.

The race was fun. We had two cars skid into the concreate stars and end their game. The other two cars battled it out twice as they crossed each other. It will definitely be an event we will do again.

CAR WARS - Autoduelling at The Rubberway Arena

Ruleset: Car Wars by Steve Jackson Games.

We had six players for this duel that took place in the Akron Rubber Way arena.

The Rubberyway is one of the oldest bi-level arenas in the Mid-West, and still one of the most popular among touring duellists. Action is fast and furious as combatants race over and around the central platform.

The cars were stock having a recoilless rifle in the front, med heavy rockets on the side, and a spear 1000 mine dropper in the back.

To keep players in the game, after your car is lost you have another car enter at your starter gate.

Points are awarded for kills and for keeping your car intact.
